Position Overview

National Match Officials acts as the custodian of match official standards, ensuring that every competition and event under England Roller Hockey's purview is officiated by trained, qualified, and consistent professionals. This role works in tandem with the National Competitions Committee, ensuring events can be staffed optimally with skilled officials. It plays a crucial role in upholding the integrity of the sport.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic Referee and Timekeeper Development: Craft and execute a forward-thinking strategy for nationwide referee and timekeeper development.

Resource and Program Formulation: Pioneer the creation of comprehensive training, education, and resource provisions for referees and timekeepers at various proficiency levels.

Mentoring and Guidance: Offer vital mentorship and guidance to referees and timekeepers, ensuring alignment with national standards.

Talent Recognition and Advancement: Spearhead national talent identification initiatives, ensuring that budding and existing talents receive necessary developmental opportunities.

International Networking: Cultivate and uphold relations with global match official development entities, ensuring the wider association remains abreast of international best practices.

Competition Readiness: Engage with the National Competitions Committee to ensure that match official development requisites are impeccably met for national contests.

Qualifications
